A survey of program fundamentals necessary for creating renewal experiences for all ages, and the importance and role of support services such as marketing, fundraising, fiscal management, human resource utilization and hospitality management. 2 credits.

Theology and Practice of Ministry in Outdoor Settings

An introduction to the theology and practice of integrating creation and all aspects of the natural setting as the context for camp and conference ministry. In addition, various re-creation' ministry toolssuch as adventure activities, wilderness trekking, sports, games, aquatics, group/individual challenges, visual and fine arts and service componentswill be examined. The philosophical foundations and practical applications of stress, challenge, choice and competition will be addressed. Using creation and re-creation to create spiritual analogies, teachable moments and experiential learning experiences will be discussed. 2 credits.
