Dr. Bill Mounce to Teach at Western Seminary
We are very pleased to announce that Western Seminary’s Portland campus will be hosting guest professor Dr. Bill Mounce in the spring 2008 semester. Now you can learn Greek from the man who wrote the books on Greek!
"Bill is not only one of the finest Greek scholars in the world, but also an outstanding teacher who brings his experience as a preaching pastor into his Greek classes,” Dr. Gerry Breshears observed.
NTS 508EH, Introducing the Foundation of Greek Exegesis will be taught in hybrid format on January 11, 25-26, February 15-16, March 14-15. Dr. Mounce uses a wide variety of online audio resources to make learning Greek accessible while working on a self paced study schedule.
Dr. Mounce is a prolific writer and leading educator in the field of biblical Greek. He has produced a whole library of accessible tools to learn Greek, based around his Basics of Biblical Greek, the best-selling and most widely accepted New Testament Greek textbook. He pastored Shiloh Hills Church in Spokane for five years, recently resigning to give full time to teaching. He is the New Testament chair of the English Standard Version translation of the Bible, and he has served as professor of New Testament and Director of the Greek Program at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and a professor of New Testament at Azusa Pacific University.

• This course is called a hybrid course, but if you’ve taken a hybrid before you might find that this is a bit different than our previous courses. The syllabus contains more detail regarding how this specific course is structured.
