This campus is located in Portland,
Oregon -- the largest urban area in the state and one of the most influential in the Northwestern
United States.
The Portland Campus has the highest student enrollment of any seminary in the Pacific Northwest, thanks to Western’s hallmark efforts to train students who live in the region and far beyond. This is made possible by accessible on-campus scheduling and a breadth of online courses through Western Seminary Online campus. This campus also has the greatest number of core faculty members with offices on campus, providing easy access to instructors for personalized, out of class interaction.
Western Seminary was founded in 1927 on the campus of a local Portland church and by 1944 relocated
to its current site on the slope of Mt. Tabor, in the lively and artistic Hawthorne District. It
is located just four miles east of Downtown Portland, off of Interstate 5.

“Western Seminary prepared me for a lifetime of Gospel-centered service. This is a great
place to develop your core convictions that will keep you grounded in the years to come. It is a
place God used to increase my dependence on His testimony, my faith in His Word, and my love for
Jesus”
