Distribution of Funds

Eligibility

  1. Students must be eligible to participate in programs under Section 484 in Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965
  2. Students must not be enrolled in an Online degree program
  3. Students must certify that they incurred expenses related to the disruption of campus operations as a result of the coronavirus.

Amount

Students received between $350 and $1575, based on enrollment level in the Spring Semester, 2020 (full-time, half-time, less-than-half-time) and financial need, as determined by the FAFSA.

Receiving Funds

On June 18, 2020, Western Seminary provided instructions, directions, or guidance via email to students who were potentially eligible for financial assistance concerning the Emergency Financial Aid Grants. These students were instructed to submit the CARES Act Eligibility Form no later than Wednesday, June 24, to be considered for aid.

The form is now closed. Form submissions have been processed and each student has received notification as to their eligibility or ineligibility for an award. Eligible students received additional information about the purpose of the funds, how and when they would be disbursed, a reminder to update their address to ensure the award check would reach them, and a list of other resources should they need additional financial assistance.
