Students Connect at Threshold Week
March 10, 2023
Western Seminary hosted 40 students for Threshold Week at our Portland Campus Feb. 27–March 2. Threshold is a unique, four-day opportunity for students to enjoy community and mentorship each semester while taking two-day course intensives.
"Many of our students are serving in vocational ministry in their own contexts within the local church," said Andrew Pack, EdD, director of online learning. "Being on the ground together for a few days allows the space to live out gospel-centered transformation in real time."
This spring, students had the opportunity to choose from three courses:
- "Practicing Prayer and Other Key Disciplines" with Andrew Pack, EdD
- "Hermeneutics" with Todd Miles, PhD
- "Interpreting the Prophets and Gospels" with Richard M. Blaylock, PhD
Students were especially blessed with a lunch Q&A with Professor Daniel K. Eng, PhD, and the opportunity to share meals with our staff and professors.
Threshold will be offered again for the summer semester June 5–8.
